Grow-out is work in progress: a flat in week three counts as WIP, not sellable stock. When it graduates to the sales rack, it moves — and the flat that damped off logs as the loss it was.
Can I track microgreen trays?
Yes — each tray cycle logs seed and medium in, clamshell ounces out, on a 7-14 day loop. Standing orders draw from the cycle, and you'll know your real cost per clamshell.
What do props actually cost?
Pot, soil, and label — the plant material from your own mother is effectively free. MadeKeeper shows that margin honestly, which is why props deserve more rack space than most growers give them.
